Professional Training: Dr. Michael Sorah has been treating patients in the Corvallis area since he graduated Cum Laude from Western States Chiropractic College in 1995. He had previously graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's in Liberal Arts from Columbia Christian College. He received his Massage Therapist credentials from the Southwest Washington School of Massage and completed Advanced Studies in Whiplash Trauma at the Spine Research Institue of San Diego. He is also certified in Impairment Rating, a tool for evaluating the level of permanent damage a patient has suffered. Dr. Sorah has a particular interest and expertise in Exercise Rehabilitation.

From his early days of formal training in Chiropractic, Dr. Sorah had always envisioned a multi-disciplimary center comprised of complimentary and alternative medicine. Since entering his profession, he has steadily gathered together an integrated team of experts, making that vision a reality at the Northwest Health and Healing Center.

Treatment Philosophy: Dr. Sorah believes in treating the whole person. He thoroughly evaluates spinal and extremity joints and soft tissue structures to determine the root cause of what is affecting a patient. He then identifies appropriate treatment, which may include manipulation, soft tissue therapies, exercise, stretching, and ergonomic or nutritional recommendations. He is also able to recognize when the issue is too extensive and referral is needed for further diagnostic work-up and treatment.

Outside of Work: Dr. Sorah is an active family man, father of 3 kids, and an energetic soccer coach.
